10kbrains.org is a nonprofit website run by 10,000 Brains Neuro AI, Inc., a Delaware nonprofit corporation that is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“The 10,000 Brains Project”, “we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information on 10kbrains.org and on any other website we own or operate that links to or posts this Privacy Policy, including any website we may launch in the future using another domain name we own (collectively, the “Sites”).
By submitting your personal information on our Sites, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent for a particular use of information, we will obtain that consent.

When you visit 10kbrains.org, we may automatically collect technical and usage information about your visit, including your IP address, domain from which you access the Internet, operating system, browser information, date and time of your visit, pages visited, and other information collected through cookies or similar technologies.

We use Salesforce, Mailchimp, and other third-party platforms to manage our mailing list. When you sign up, your information may be transferred to and processed by our providers.

We use mailing-list information to send news about our work, information about career opportunities, resources, event and program information, and other communications consistent with your preferences.

We use a combination of self-hosted and third-party services to handle form submissions on our Sites, including WordPress and WPForms.
When you submit a form, the information you provide may be stored by WordPress and our third-party service providers and shared with relevant staff members based on the nature of your submission.
Information may include your name, email address, organization if provided, contact reason, message, IP address, and other information you choose to submit.
We use this information to respond to your inquiry, provide requested resources or services, and administer our programs and activities.
If you apply for a position with The 10,000 Brains Project, you may submit contact information, demographic information, a resume, education and employment history, and other information you choose to provide. We use this information to evaluate and process your application and communicate with you about employment opportunities. Providing demographic information, such as information about race, ethnicity, gender, veteran status, or disability, is voluntary, and choosing not to provide it will not affect the consideration of your application. If you choose to provide it, we use demographic information only for equal employment opportunity and related reporting and compliance purposes, we do not use it in making hiring decisions, and we limit access to it to personnel who need it for those purposes.
When you make a donation through our Sites, your information is transferred to and processed by FundraiseUp. FundraiseUp may use payment and related service providers, including Stripe, PayPal, Venmo, Google Pay, Fidelity Investments, and Double the Donation, and other providers, to process transactions or administer related services.
Payment card or bank account information you provide is transmitted securely to the applicable payment processor. We receive information necessary to administer your donation and maintain our donor relationship.
Information collected may include your name, address if provided, email address, IP address, domain from which you access the Internet, operating system and browser information, date and time of your donation, donation amount and history, and other information you choose to provide.
If you select the option to subscribe to our mailing list when making a donation, we will add you to our mailing list as described above.
If you indicate that your employer may match your gift, we and Double the Donation may share your name, contact information, and donation details with your employer, or with your employer’s matching gift administrator, to process the matching gift.
We use Salesforce to manage ongoing relationships with contacts and donors. Salesforce may be integrated with our mailing list and other systems.
Depending on how you interact with us, information maintained in Salesforce may include your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, donation history, communication preferences, and other information you provide to us.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our Sites and to measure website performance. Google Analytics may collect information such as device and browser information, pages visited, approximate location, and other usage information.
We configure Google Analytics to limit the collection of information where appropriate. We do not intentionally use Google Analytics to collect information that directly identifies you, and we do not intentionally combine analytics information with directly identifying information for purposes not described in this Privacy Policy.
Google's handling of information collected through Google Analytics is also governed by Google's applicable Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. Donor Information
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade our donor lists or donor personal information with other organizations. We may share donor information with service providers that help us process donations and administer donor relationships and, at your direction, with your employer to process a matching gift. If we co-host an event or program with another organization, we will tell you at the time you register if your information will be shared with the co-host.
As Required by Law
We may access, preserve, and disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is required or appropriate to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, court order, subpoena, or governmental request; protect the rights, property, or safety of The 10,000 Brains Project or others; investigate potential wrongdoing; or enforce our agreements.

Organizational Transactions
