    • Domain from which you access the Internet
    • IP address
    • Operating system on your computer and information about the browser you used when visiting the site
    • Date and time when you submit the form
  • We use the collected email addresses of our mailing list subscribers to send emails with marketing messages, news related to our work, information about career opportunities, and resources.
  • We use the personal data we collect to understand how people sign up to our mailing list and to improve the experience of signing up to our mailing list.
  • We will not email you unless you consent to email communication on the Site.

Submitting forms on our Sites

  • We use a combination of self-hosted and third-party services to handle forms submissions on our Sites, including WordPress and WPforms.
  • When you submit a form on our Site, your personal information and any other information you submit is stored securely on WordPress and by our third-party service providers.
  • After you submit a form, your information is shared with relevant staff members based on the information you submit.

Applying for a job with The 10,000 Brains Project

  • If you decide that you wish to apply for a job with us, you may submit your contact information, demographic information, and your resume online. We will also collect the information you choose to provide in your application and on your resume, such as your education and employment experience. We use this information to process your job application.

Donating to The 10,000 Brains Project from our Sites

  • When you make donations to The 10,000 Brains Project through our Sites, your personal information is transferred to, and processed by FundraiseUp.
  • FundraiseUp processes donation transactions using StripePayPal, Venmo, GooglePay, Fidelity Investments, and Double the Donation, and other payment processors. The credit card or bank account information you supply is transmitted securely to the relevant payment processors.
  • The personal data we collect when you make an online donation includes:
    • Your name
    • Your address
    • Your email address
    • Domain from which you access the Internet
    • IP address
    • Operating system on your computer and information about the browser you used when visiting the site
    • Date and time when you submit the form
  • If you check the ‘Subscribe to our mailing list’ checkbox, we will add you to our mailing list. Read more about how we manage our mailing list in the ‘Signing up to our mailing list’ section above.

Salesforce

  • We use Salesforce to manage ongoing relationships with our contacts and donors.
  • Salesforce is integrated with our mailing list, such that when you sign up for our mailing list, we also add your information to Salesforce.
  • To the extent you provide information when signing up for our mailing list or making a donation, the information we maintain in Salesforce may include:
    • Your name
    • Your email address
    • Your physical address
    • Your phone number
    • Your donation history
  • If you choose to unsubscribe from our email list, that will also be reflected in our Salesforce system.

Google Analytics

  • We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site and to gather aggregate performance metrics.
  • We’ve set up Google Analytics so that it doesn’t collect your full IP address.
  • We don’t collect any personally identifiable information using Google Analytics, and we do not combine the information collected through Google Analytics with any personally identifiable information.
  • Google Analytics places a cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user. This cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.

We provide detailed financial information as a part of our annual IRS 990 forms.
